What to expect of booking Sleep-O-Thrive sessions
A free ten minute consultation to determine if you are a fit for cognitive behavioural therapy for insomnia.
The program is divided into 6 sessions.
Prior to your first visit you receive a complimentary pre-reading and preparation email which you are requested to review and reflect on.
The sessions are offered workbook style and accommodate different learning styles supported with written materials and ample time for interactive discussions.
Pre-reading includes keeping a sleep diary and completing two assessments.Sessions 1, 2 and 3 are one-on-one meetings of 75 minutes each. Topics include understanding your sleep problem and key ingredients for a good night’s sleep, building a strong sleep drive, ways to quiet the body and mind, tapering sleeping pills and planning for future good sleep.Session 4, 5 and 6 are 30 minute follow-up visits after completion of the program.
Additional sessions and regular follow-up appointments can be scheduled as needed.
Some participants need more in-person sessions to achieve uccesss. Others choose to attend follow up appointments to stay on track.
Cost
- Ten minute phone consultation and pre-reading are offered at no cost.
- The cost of sessions 1, 2, and 3 (75minutes) is $120.00 each and includes a workbook to make notes.
- The cost of session 4, 5 and 6 (30 minutes) is $40.00 each.
